The BPU-4000 works with the CA-4000 to route 4K signals from a PMW-F55 camera with a 4K Super 35mm CMOS sensor. The BPU-4000 generates 4K and HD signals at the same color matrix, to simultaneously match the 4K and HD signal outputs of Sony's current HD camera system. The BPU-4000 works in conjunction with the HDCU-2000/2500 unit to enable the same operation as on the current HDC camera system.
4K migration option for HDC series cameras
The BPU-4000 works with the same range of remote control panels (RCPs) and master configuration units (MSUs) as the HDC series cameras, guaranteeing customers a scalable migration path. The system operates on standard SMPTE fiber optic cables over distances of up to 2,000 meters.
Routes 4K signals from a PMW-F55 camera equipped with a CA-4000 adapter
The BPU-4000 works with the CA-4000 to route 4K signals from a PMW-F55 camera with a 4K Super 35mm CMOS sensor. The BPU-4000 generates 4K and HD signals at the same color matrix, to match the 4K and HD signal outputs of Sony's current HD camera system simultaneously.
Supports use of HDCU-2000/2500 camera control unit (CCU)
The BPU-4000 works with the HDCU-2000/2500 control unit to enable the same operation as the current HDC system camera, with reference signal, video return, tally lamp signals, intercom and Sony remote control panels (RCP)/main configuration units (MSU).
4K optical fiber transmission up to 2,000 m
The Live 4K system operates on standard SMPTE fiber optic cables over distances of up to 2,000 m.
HFR (High Frame Rate) recordings (optional software)
The camera supports HFR (High Frame Rate) recording at up to 200 fps in 1080/50p.
HD cutting functionality (optional software)
It is possible to crop a Full HD image in real time within the 4K image, enabling a director, for example, to select an area within the larger view offered by a camera installed in a fixed position and operating without an operator.
Operates without HDCU-2000/25000 camera control unit
The BPU-4000 operates without the HDC-2000/25000 camera control unit, supplying power locally to the PMW-F55 camera and the CA-4000 adapter. The BPU-4000 receives reference and feedback signal inputs and supports RCP remote control.
