The DR-60 Mark II is an update of the acclaimed DR-60D, an audio recording solution for directors and on-set videographers. Its compact design makes it easy to install on a DSLR cage.
It claims to be the next generation of compact 4-track recorders, based on decades of innovation by its manufacturer. Up to 4 tracks can be recorded on the internal SD card, at 95kHz/24-bit WAV resolution. 2 of the microphone inputs use 48V phantom XLR connectors, while the other two use 1/8″ stereo wireless connectors.
Several recording modes are available on the DR-60D Mark II. The "Four-Channel" mode records all 4 microphone inputs, while Dual Recording offers an alternative: record a copy at a lower volume to preserve a safe, distortion-free track.
The recorder has a 128 x 64 pixel screen and displays your settings clearly. The control panel features a number of efficient buttons, allowing you to change settings in no time at all. The DR-60D MKII records sound to an SD or SDHC memory card. On an SDHC card, you can store up to 32 GB. If desired, this recorder can even supply your microphones with phantom power. In short, this tool is an excellent choice for every video expert or amateur looking for top-end audio quality.
