Introducing Tascam DR701D
The Tascam DR-701D 6-track audio recorder for DSLR cameras is Tascam's top-of-the-line audio recorder for light video productions. It features a timecode input and timecode generator for easy synchronization with an SMPTE generator, camera or Slate signal. HDMI input and output enable remote control of recording from a DSLR, and the video clock signal prevents any lag between sound and image.
The 4 signals arriving at the mic/line inputs can be recorded separately and mixed on a stereo track - for a total of 6 tracks that can be recorded simultaneously. If you need more tracks, multiple devices can be cascaded. The lightweight yet rigid chassis is machined from a block of magnesium alloy. Tripod mounts on the bottom and top of the unit allow it to be mounted under the camera, attached to a follow-focus cage, or used as a stand-alone unit.
Designed for the needs of professional filmmakers, TV, commercial and documentary producers, the DR-701D enables high-quality multi-track recording in a format compact enough to be used with any camera.
