The Canon GP-E1 GPS receiver is a practical tool for photographers on the move to manage the organization of their photos and recordings. Compatible only with the Canon EOS-1D X, the GP-E1 is a compact, rugged accessory that automatically adds geographic coordinates and cardinal points to the EXIF data of every image and video captured.

• The GP-E1 integrates ergonomically with the EOS-1D X. It features a highly accurate clock, and its robust, weather-resistant construction is similar to that of the camera.
• Once up and running, the GP-E1 will automatically record the geographical coordinates (latitude, longitude, altitude, cardinal orientation) of your images and videos. Altitude can also be detected from an airplane or helicopter.
• Accurately adjusts to the EOS-1D X clock using UTC (Universal Coordinated Time) transmitted by the GP-E1, with a margin of error of 0.01s.
• The GP-E1 is designed to enhance the workflow of professional photographers. For example, they will be able to classify their photos by shooting location.
