Introducing the Sony BRC-H800
The Sony BRC-H800 lets you capture broadcast-quality Full HD images remotely, with smooth, silent PTZ and excellent low-light sensitivity.
The BRC-H800 remote camera combines uncompromising broadcast image quality, smooth, silent PTZ operation and the flexibility of 3G-SDI and HDMI connections.
Designed for stand-alone operation, this compact yet powerful robotic camera is the ideal complement to other broadcast cameras for recording images discreetly or in hard-to-reach areas. It's equally at home in TV newsrooms, remote studios and broadcast rooms, auditoriums, places of worship, courts and stadiums. It also makes it possible to set up high-performance multi-camera configurations, under the control of a single operator.
The type 1″ Exmor R CMOS sensor records extremely crisp, low-noise Full HD images at 60p, with excellent low-light sensitivity. The large sensor also makes it possible to create beautiful bokeh effects with minimal depth of field, adapting to all your artistic projects.
Fast, near-silent PTZ operation with 12x optical zoom gives you the freedom to capture wide-angle scenes and close-ups, and 24x high-resolution zoom technology (HD) extends the possibilities even further with no visible loss of resolution. Broadcast-friendly features: two tally lamps for on-air broadcasting, optimized operational flexibility thanks to the possibility of ceiling, table or tripod mounting. The camera also offers numerous video interface and remote control options, as well as PoE+ and Genlock support, simplifying seamless integration into any broadcast or professional audiovisual environment.
Highlights :
Enhanced Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) operation
Precise cropping of shots or tracking of moving subjects with fluid, fast and virtually silent remote control of pan/tilt/zoom functions. This is complemented by a slow pan/tilt mode and low-speed zoom, for smooth, jerk-free camera movements. The PTZ Trace Memory* function enables a sequence of camera movements to be stored and followed on command. PTZ Motion Sync* fades pan, tilt and zoom movements to ensure smooth, professional-quality transitions from one shot to the next.
Full HD 60p broadcast-quality images
The large 1″-type Exmor R CMOS sensor with backlight delivers uncompromising broadcast-quality color images with Full HD 60p resolution, capable of shooting sporting events and fast-paced action scenes.
24p cinema images
The camera can also operate in 24p mode, for elegantly cinematic video sequences.
High-quality 12x optical zoom and 24x high-resolution zoom (HD)
The top-quality Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens with a 12x optical zoom range covers wide-angle shots as well as the closest close-ups. The high-resolution zoom further extends this range to 24x (HD), without sacrificing detail.
Excellent low-light sensitivity
The BRC-H800 captures crisp, low-noise color video with an ambient brightness of 1.7 lx, making it the ideal choice for low-light rooms and auditoriums.
Flexible installation
Integration is simplified in a wide variety of environments, thanks to the PoE+ (Power over Ethernet) function, which reduces cabling requirements, and VISCA over IP control.
Remote operation
Pan/Tilt/Zoom functions and other camera parameters can be controlled remotely using the infrared remote control supplied, or the optional RM-IP10 remote control, which can control multiple cameras.
Genlock
Genlock simplifies integration into other systems, in broadcast environments with multi-camera configurations.
Versatile video outputs
Enjoy greater installation flexibility in professional broadcast and audiovisual environments with 3G-SDI (x2) and HDMI video outputs.
Front and rear tally lamps
Ideal for broadcast use, the BRC-H800 incorporates two tally lamps on the front and rear of the camera body. The brightness of the front tally lamp can be adjusted in two steps.
