Presentation of the Panasonic Lumix DC-S1 + 24-105MM
The Lumix DC-S1 is a full-frame camera offering advanced functions for still images and video. It features a 24.2MP full-frame CMOS sensor with no low-pass filter for superb images. Combined with its Venus Engine processor, it reproduces the finest details and faithful colors. The S1 offers impressive image quality, a fast shooting rate of 9 fps and an extended sensitivity range of up to ISO 204,800. On the video side, the S1 records 4K60p/50p video (and 4K 30p without cropping). A firmware update will be available during 2019 offering 4K 60p/50p recording in 4:2:2 10bits via HDMI and 4K 30p/25p/24p in 4:2:2 10bits internally, with V-Log. The Lumix DC-S1's image sensor also uses an advanced DFD contrast-detection autofocus system for fast, accurate subject tracking and focusing. It incorporates dual image stabilization (5+2 axes) by sensor displacement to reduce the appearance of camera shake by 6 stops for more precise handheld shooting. The Lumix S1 boasts a rugged, waterproof design, ideal for following you on all your adventures!

Whether you're shooting videos or capturing images, the 24.2 MP CMOS sensor without low-pass filter will always deliver high-quality, fine and precise images. With its ultra-wide dynamic range, its noise reduction is also highly effective, delivering a high signal-to-noise ratio. Thanks to the combination of the sensor and the Venus Engine processor, the Lumix DC-S1 offers an impressive sensitivity of ISO 51,200.
Venus Engine processor
The combination of the Venus Engine sensor and processor delivers detailed color reproduction and natural textural expression. Multipixel Luminance Generation and Intelligent Detail Processing produce intense brightness and contrast. High-precision 3-dimensional color control makes your images stand out even at high ISO settings.

The Lumix S1 incorporates dual stabilization to effectively compensate for hand shake when shooting handheld. In fact, it combines 5-axis sensor stabilization with the 2-axis optical stabilization of Lumix S lenses. As a result, the S1 achieves a gain of 6 stops, including 5.5 stops in sensor stabilization. This dual stabilization works equally well in both photo and video shooting. Thanks to its ability to record for long periods, the S1 is ideal for seamless documentaries and wildlife observation.
During 2019, Panasonic will offer an optional update that will deliver 4K 60p/50p in 4:2:2 10-bit via HDMI and 4K 30p/25p/24p in 4:2:2 10-bit internally. This update will also make V-Log available.
Video recording
The S1 records video at 4K 60p/50p and cropping-free at 4K 30p for finer, more detailed images. Thanks to its excellent heat dissipation, the S1 allows time-limited 4K 30p/25p/24p and full HD recording.

The Panasonic Lumix DC-S1 features a 5,760,000-pixel OLED viewfinder that provides a close-up view of the human eye. It also offers a lag-free refresh rate of 120 fps (0.005 seconds), for a smooth, lifelike experience. With this viewfinder, visibility will be optimal thanks to a high contrast ratio of 10,000:1. Its magnification ratio is 0.78x (but also offers 0.74x or 0.7x). Finally, the S1's integrated viewfinder minimizes distortion for maximum comfort.
Robust and waterproof
The Lumix DC-S1 features magnesium alloy construction. Robust and waterproof, it has been designed for intensive use in the field. It can withstand extreme temperatures (down to -10°C), and all its components are splash- and dust-resistant.
