MICROPHONE BADGES
An idea invented by Americans to promote radio or TV stations when
microphones are seen on the air.
The badge is a simple black or white cube or triangle open at the top with a
hole for the microphone to pass through. It is filled with acoustic foam (the same used for
windscreens) to reduce reflections. It slides along the body of the microphone and the
foam holds it under the head of the microphone. The station logo is printed in
color on all sides. The background remains the color of the raw plastic, non-reflective
to ensure good visibility even in bright light.
The badges are available bare (with their foam block) for
users wishing to print their own design.
