The foolcontrol app makes it easy to control RED® camera settings from an Android device. It is an unlimited lcence for a single camera RED.
All camera settings such as frame rate, shutter, shutter release, playback, exposure, colorimetry, the entire menu, advanced recording settings and lens control (aperture and focus on RED® camera-compatible photo lenses) can be controlled directly from your phone or tablet with incomparable ease and ergonomics.
The software is used on a daily basis by RED® camera users worldwide and was deployed on the shoots of House of Cards (s3), Narcos (s1 and s2) and productions by David Fincher, Michael Bay....
foolcontrol software quickly proves indispensable when the camera is on a stabilizer, on a drone, on a crane, outside a car, on a steadicam, a helicopter or underwater (requires a wired gigabit ethernet connection with a wifi router) or simply to control triggering, replay, focus, metadata or to monitor any other camera settings (battery, histogram, media, HDRx, Motion Mount, exposure tools...).
Intuitive ergonomics, a system of quick presets and instant access to advanced settings often difficult or impossible to use in the camera's touchscreen interface (scene number, Lift, Gamma and Gain...) make it an indispensable tool for all RED® camera users.

foolcontrol was developed in France by Mikael Lubtchansky (RED® operator since 2008), so don't hesitate to contact him at foolcolor.net for more information.
There's also a version for Mac OS, as well as several wired solutions (G-Ethernet or RS232) or deployment options for camera rental companies or film schools.
The foolcontrol software is available on Google Play .
It can also be used on DSMC1 cameras (EPIC-SCARLET without integrated wifi) with accessories (REDLink bridge, Teradek COLR, RTMotion Latitude, OFFHolywood HotlLnk).
Wooden Caméra also offers an external antenna for foolcontrol (wifi side plate) and an iPhone holder. The use of a wifi router between the camera and the iOS device is recommended, as it significantly increases the range and robustness of the connection (a portable USB-powered router such as the TPLink WR802N is ideal).
