Unique subtlety
Full-format Exmor R™ 61.0 megapixel1 CMOS sensor combined with BIONZ X™ image processing engine for unique resolution, fine gradation, and low noise perfect for professional photographers. The α7R IV captures the mood of every scene and the texture of photographed subjects.
Wide sensitivity range ISO 100-32,000 standard
Even with a high pixel count, the α7R IV offers the highest standard ISO range at 32,0003 and reduces noise in the low to medium sensitivity ranges, to create high image quality.

Wide AF coverage
The image sensor provides high-density coverage with 567 phase-detection autofocus points (99.7% (h) and 74% (l)). Contrast detection enables precise auto-focusing with 425 points.
Fast AF even at higher resolutions
Thanks to fast, improved and responsive hybrid autofocusing, the α7R IV is able to achieve smooth autofocusing on the target subject in low-light conditions while processing a multitude of data.
Improved low-frequency AF tracking
The increased number of AF points, wider AF sensor coverage and improved AF algorithm optimize subject-tracking performance for reliable shooting, even with sudden or complex movements.

Real-time Eye AF available for videos
Real-time Eye AF now supports video shooting, detecting subjects' eyes and continuously tracking one eye. Concentrate on composition, as the α7R IV maintains precise focus on the eye.
Follow button for permanent focus
For movies, select a subject on the LCD screen. The α7R IV performs focusing and tracking with the touch-tracking function. If the α7R IV spots a human eye, the real-time Eye AF function activates and tracks it too.
Digital audio interface for cleaner sound
The digital audio interface enhances the multi-interface accessory shoe (MI Shoe). Use the new ECM-B1M shotgun microphone or the new XLR adapter kit to record high-quality sound with minimal distortion.
