Introducing the Panasonic DMW-SFU2
The Panasonic DMW-SFU2 software update lets you optimize the dynamic range and color output capabilities of the Panasonic Lumix DC-S1. This update unlocks a range of advanced video functions to extend the S1's impressive video performance.
Once installed, your Lumix S1 body will be able to use V-Log L and V-Gamut gamma, which offer a flat color profile and a wider dynamic range of around 15 stops for better color control during post-production grading. The addition of this gamma also enables users to better match colors to existing VariCam systems featuring standard V-Log, as both profiles use the same characteristic curve and LUT. This upgrade also enables 4K60 video recording with 4:2:2 10-bit sampling on an external recorder via HDMI, as well as internal 4K30/24 video recording with 4:2:2 10-bit sampling.
This update is intended for use with NTSC zone cameras only and can only be used on a single camera. It should only be used with the Lumix DC-S1 and is not compatible with the Lumix DC-S1R.
