Outstanding optical performance
The CN-E 15.5-47mm T2.8 L S/SP is an EF/PL-mount lens for Super 35mm recording, offering outstanding optical performance in the most demanding situations. This lens will exceed the performance requirements of all existing HD imaging systems. Its advanced optical design with large fluorite aspherical lenses guarantees sharp, homogeneous images throughout the zoom range. It is this unique optical design that has enabled it to reduce focus variations to a minimum, thus pushing back the limits of creativity. With an exceptionally wide rotation angle of 300° for focusing and 160° for zooming, this lens guarantees ultra-precise images.

This lens also incorporates an internal focusing system that reduces the zoom effect when in focus, while the 11-blade aperture diaphragms guarantee superb background blur. The innovative glass design minimizes frame expansion and contraction to avoid temperature-related differences in marking.

Versatility
Sloping markings on both sides of the CN-E 15.5-47 mm T2.8 L S/SP frame make it easy to read the settings, whether you're behind the camera or to the side. You can set the focus markings to either metric or imperial to suit your needs. Lens drive rings ensure the right level of resistance with even operating torque. The zoom also features an open collar adjustment mechanism to cope with the multiple demands of production applications.

Finally, digital simulation based on the ISO image color contribution index (ISO/CCI) ensures consistent color reproduction across all Canon PL-mount lenses.
