Introducing the Sigma 20mm T1.5 FF F/AP2 PL /i
The Sigma 20mm T1.5 FF F/AP2 PL /i is a PL-mount cine lens (AP2) that supports the Cooke /i Technology protocol. By using a /i Technology compatible Cine lens and a Cine camera supporting the same protocol, you can view and record lens metadata such as focus distance, focal length and aperture. This streamlines the post-production process. This is particularly suited to the latest forms of filmmaking, such as special effects, which require detailed shooting data.
It offers full-format sensor coverage, 6-8K resolution and T1.5 aperture in a relatively compact, lightweight form factor. A common front diameter of 95 mm and similar physical attributes across the lens range facilitate and speed up the mounting of accessories such as matte boxes and follow-focus lenses.
The 9-blade iris produces pleasant bokeh effects, while ghosting and flare have been minimized. Color reproduction is standardized to facilitate color correction. Each lens in the range offers consistent gear positions and 180° rotation of the focusing barrel. FF High-Speed Primes also feature a click-free iris with linear markings, dampers on each gear ring for silent operation, a standard 0.8 module gear pitch and engraved markings for enhanced durability. The selected markings are made in luminous paint for easy visibility in low-light conditions. To reduce stress on your camera's lens mount, a support foot is integrated into the lens body in dust- and water-resistant metal.
